The US Food and Drug Administration website provides information from A to Z on health issues and concerns. In this special section focused on consumer awareness, you will discover advice and education on medicines, nutrition, vaccinations, age and gender specific health information, and even pet health. From crash test ratings to child safety seat information to information for disabled drivers to vehicle and equipment recalls, the NHTSA has compiled an in-depth resource for everything that has to do with automobiles. The information is easy to access by quick search FAQs, browsing by topic, or using the robust search feature. You will also find numerous links to associated organizations and additional resources.
Safercar.gov is a resource provided by the NHTSA. In addition to crash test and rollover ratings, you will find safety information about subjects such as tires, air bags, electronic stability control, and the all new hybrid automobiles.
Another super resource for recall information, with some very unique features of its own, this site is a partner to the recalls.gov site listed above. Here you can download weekly MP3 audio podcast summaries of recall and other product safety news. The Federal Trade Commission also provides Consumer Protection information on their site.
